The Need
For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM's Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50% and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. In its partnership with Yayasan Integritas Justitia Madani Indonesia (IJMI), we are seeking a
Sr. Coordinator, Survivor Leadership (Yayasan IJMI) to strengthen survivor-led advocacy and empowerment across the region. You will guide strategy, support survivor networks, build capacity across teams and partners, and ensure trauma-informed and ethical approaches to survivor engagement.
About Yayasan IJMI
Yayasan Integritas Justitia Madani Indonesia (IJMI) is an independent local foundation established in Indonesia in March 2023. Yayasan IJMI is a partner of International Justice Mission. In this partnership, Yayasan IJMI adopts IJM's systems, models, approaches, and resources that have been trusted and proven to provide the impact that is also expected or targeted by Yayasan IJMI.
Our Vision: An effective Justice System in Indonesia to protect over 16.5 million people living in poverty from Forced Labor and Modern Slavery.
Our Mission: To protect people in poverty from violence through the rescue of victims, restraint of criminals, restoration of survivors, and strengthening of criminal justice systems.
This position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia and reports to the Lead, Community Engagement. It is only open to candidates who reside in Indonesia and have the right to work in the country.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of survivor leadership strategies.
- Support formation and strengthening of survivor networks.
- Build capacity of teams, partners, and survivor leaders through training and mentoring.
- Develop tools, guidelines, and safe engagement processes for survivor participation.
- Coordinate with partners, governments, and regional survivor initiatives.
- Represent the organization in meetings, workshops, and coalitions.
- Ensure documentation, learning, and integration of trauma-informed best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work or related field.
- 7-10 years experience supporting survivors of violence or trauma-informed programs.
- Experience developing survivor networks or community leadership structures.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Cross-cultural experience preferred.
