Lead the implementation of nature-based carbon projects, including REDD+, ARR, and Wetland Restoration and Conservation (WRC) projects.
Oversee field implementation to ensure project activities comply with applicable carbon methodologies, approved work plans, and project objectives.
Lead the development and technical review of Project Design Documents (PDDs), including carbon accounting, baseline, additionality, leakage, and monitoring components.
Lead the development and implementation of MRV frameworks, ensuring monitoring approaches are aligned with relevant carbon standards, methodologies, and project requirements.
Lead the preparation, review, and finalization of Monitoring Reports, including coordination of data collection, analysis, carbon accounting, and supporting evidence.
Oversee carbon, hydrology, biodiversity, and community monitoring activities, ensuring data completeness, consistency, and quality.
Lead GIS analysis, remote sensing, field surveys, forest inventories, and QA/QC processes to support project design and monitoring.
Coordinate field teams, consultants, laboratories, and technical partners to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
Support project planning, budgeting, risk management, and technical problem-solving throughout project implementation.
Coordinate validation and verification processes with Validation/Verification Bodies (VVBs), and ensure compliance with Verra and other applicable international carbon standards.
Build the technical capacity of project teams and provide leadership on carbon project implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, GIS, Remote Sensing, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in carbon project development, forestry, environmental monitoring, or MRV.
Strong understanding of Verra methodologies, carbon accounting principles, MRV frameworks, and validation/verification processes.
Demonstrated experience preparing or reviewing PDDs, Monitoring Reports, and technical documentation for carbon projects.
Proficient in GIS and remote sensing tools, such as ArcGIS/QGIS, Google Earth Engine, or similar platforms.
Experience with REDD+, ARR, peatland, wetland, or blue carbon projects is highly preferred.
Excellent analytical, technical writing, communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
