Sql Server Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented SQL Server Developer with a strong background in Database Design, Data Modeling, and Performance Tuning. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing SQL Server databases that power enterprise applications and business-critical systems.

Roles & responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient SQL Server databases based on business requirements.
• Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support software development and analytics use cases.
• Write complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Perform performance tuning of SQL queries, indexing strategies, and database schema to ensure high system responsiveness.
• Analyze execution plans and use tools like SQL Profiler and Extended Events for troubleshooting and tuning.
• Design and implement ETL processes and work closely with BI/Data Warehousing teams.
• Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand data requirements and deliver optimal data solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance standards are maintained across all environments.
• Participate in code reviews, version control (e.g., Git), and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in development, testing, and production environments.
• Prepare technical documentation, data dictionaries, and support knowledge sharing across teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 4 to 9 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server Development (versions 2016 and above preferred).
• Strong expertise in database design and data modeling (both OLTP and OLAP).
• Proven experience in SQL performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of T-SQL, joins, CTEs, window functions, and error handling techniques.
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, or other ETL/reporting tools is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL, cloud-based databases, or other cloud data services is a bonus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
