SQL Server Database Administrator

Insight Direct India is seeking a skilled and proactive SQL Server Database Administrator to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for all aspects of Insight's database administration and production support. We'll count on your expertise in database configuration, maintenance, production support, troubleshooting, and capacity planning. You'll also assist in the daily maintenance and administration of Oracle and MS SQL databases, as well as related production activities within Insight.

About the Role

As a SQL Server Database Administrator, you will get to:

• Monitor error logs, database and log space, user activity, and resource utilization of the production environment. Work closely with application programmers to ensure that application problems do not adversely affect production operations.
• Monitor system resources of database servers to ensure production systems meet availability requirements and hardware enhancements are scheduled in a timely fashion.
• Be responsible for the auditing and integrity of the data.
• Create, maintain, and refresh required SQL Server instances/databases for development, test, and production environments.
• Provide end-users with technical data in a clear and meaningful manner.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience:5-7 years of experience working with MS SQL databases in a corporate environment.
• High Availability: Hands-on experience in high availability solutions such as Windows failover cluster, Always On Availability Groups, and Replication.
• SQL Tuning: Ability to analyze and tune SQL statements.
• Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot at the component level.
• Technical Aptitude: Good technical aptitude.
• Certifications: Microsoft Certification in SQL Server/Azure is a plus.
• Scripting: Good knowledge of writing T-SQL scripts.
