Responsibilities:

The Spent Bleaching Earth Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the SBEO plant. You will ensure 100% safety compliance, optimize production through Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, and lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve excellence in quality and reliability.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans for CI, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and Green Energy to meet divisional objectives.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily SBEO operations, resource allocation, and performance monitoring. Ensure plant availability through robust maintenance strategies (PM, PdM, and vibration analysis).
  • Project & Commissioning: Lead the operational interface during the project phase, ensuring facility operability, maintainability, and a seamless transition through Commissioning and Start-Up (CSU).
  • HSSE Championship: Act as the ultimate authority for safety behavior. Manage high-risk processes involving Hexane and explosive solvents, ensuring 100% compliance with PTW standards and Emergency Response readiness.
  • Stakeholder Management: Interface with Technical Services, Plant Management, and external vendors. Analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities and process improvements.
  • Team Development: Lead recruitment, training, and mentoring for the SBEO team to build a high-performance culture based on industrial best practices.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in a supervisory and 3 years management role in the same field.
  • Proven track record in Solvent Extraction Units (SEU) or SBEO environments is highly preferred. Direct experience implementing maintenance best practices (Vibration analysis, PM, etc.).
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in handling explosive solvents (Hexane) and managing ATEX/Ex-Proof environments. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for performance reporting and data analysis.
  • Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of industry-specific regulations and ethical standards.
