Role Overview
The Speaker Acquisition Executive is responsible for identifying, approaching, and securing qualified speakers for TEH Group conferences and business events. This role focuses on building strong relationships with industry professionals and ensuring the quality and relevance of conference speakers.
Key Responsibilities
Speaker Research & Outreach
- Research and identify potential speakers relevant to conference themes and target industries
- Approach and engage prospective speakers via email, LinkedIn, and other communication channels
- Present event value propositions clearly to potential speakers
Speaker Coordination & Confirmation
- Secure speaker confirmations and manage follow-ups to ensure timely commitment
- Coordinate speaker availability, session topics, and speaking formats
- Maintain accurate speaker records, trackers, and databases
Content & Agenda Support
- Support the Conference Producer in developing session topics and agenda flow
- Collect speaker profiles, bios, headshots, and presentation materials
- Ensure speakers meet deadlines for content submissions
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Conference Producers, Event Operations, and Marketing teams
- Communicate speaker updates, confirmations, and changes to relevant stakeholders
- Assist in aligning speaker content with event objectives and sponsor expectations
Event Support
- Support speaker management before and during the event as required
- Assist with speaker briefings and on-site coordination
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or related fields
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Confident in engaging with professionals at managerial and executive levels
- Detail-oriented and well-organized
- Comfortable working with targets and deadlines
- Good command of written and spoken English
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event production, conference research, or speaker management
- Familiarity with LinkedIn outreach and professional networking
- Experience working with technology, cybersecurity, or B2B industries is an advantage
