Role Description

This is a contract, on-site role for a Sous Chef based in Kecamatan Mengwi, Bali. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, overseeing food preparation, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring that dishes are executed efficiently and consistently. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, monitoring stock and inventory levels, ensuring food safety standards, and contributing creatively to menu planning and new dish development.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and knowledge of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine
  • Skills in kitchen staff supervision, team coordination, and maintaining operational efficiency
  • Understanding of food safety regulations, inventory management, and maintaining hygiene standards
  • Creative culinary skills and the ability to contribute innovative ideas to menu development
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Formal culinary training or certification is preferred
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role is a plus
