Sourcing & Operations Manager Bali, Indonesia (full-time)

We're a founder-led group building several businesses at the same time, and looking for a strong sourcing manager to own all supplier reachout, quotes and getting a project to production.

Every one of the projects runs on suppliers, quotes and samples. We need one person to own all of it, from the first supplier search to the approved sample, so the founder only makes the final call.

What you'll do

• Find and vet factories and suppliers in China and Indonesia (Alibaba, 1688, trade fairs, direct contacts)
• Source packaging: glass and plastic bottles, pumps and airless dispensers, caps, droppers, labels, boxes
• Manage printing and finishes with factories: silk-screen, hot stamping, frosting, custom colors
• Send requests for quotes and build comparison sheets: unit price at several quantities, MOQ, lead time, sample cost, shipping
• Order, track and check every sample; handle shipping, customs and import into Indonesia
• Run the hotel purchasing list: furniture, lighting, bathroom fittings, linens, towels, guest amenities, operating supplies, with at least 3 quotes per item
• Negotiate price, MOQ and payment terms within agreed limits
• Work with our partners and existing factories on active orders
• Keep one master tracker up to date and send a weekly status report
• Bring the founder decision-ready options: 3 choices, prices, samples in hand and your recommendation

What a normal week looks like

Monday you send quote requests for 5 new hotel items. Tuesday you chase a bottle factory in Guangzhou about a late sample. Wednesday you visit a furniture workshop in Gianyar. Thursday you compare 4 pump suppliers and recommend one. Friday you send the weekly report, and the founder approves 3 decisions in 15 minutes.

You must have

• 2+ years sourcing from Chinese factories: finding suppliers, negotiating MOQs, managing samples and quality
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• A system: you track everything in spreadsheets and follow up without being reminded
• Experience running several projects at once
• You live in Bali or are willing to relocate

Strong plus

• Mandarin (WeChat with factories)
• Bahasa Indonesia
• Beauty, cosmetics or skincare packaging experience
• Hotel or hospitality procurement (furniture, fixtures, operating supplies)
• Importing into Indonesia: customs, HS codes, freight forwarders

The offer
