Role Description The Sonographer's Assistant (Bidan) is a full-time, on-site role based in Bogor, supporting sonographers and medical staff in delivering safe and efficient ultrasound services. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing examination rooms and equipment, welcoming patients, confirming identities, obtaining basic patient history, and assisting patients with positioning for ultrasound procedures. The role also involves supporting sonographers during scans, ensuring patient comfort and privacy, and helping maintain infection control and cleanliness standards. The Sonographer's Assistant will handle basic administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and data entry, following clinic protocols and privacy regulations. This position works closely with the clinical team, following guidance from sonographers and physicians while maintaining clear, respectful communication with patients and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Clinical knowledge and foundational background in Medicine, preferably with midwifery (bidan) or related clinical experience.
  • Understanding of Radiology and ultrasound procedures, with the ability to support imaging workflows safely and accurately.
  • Familiarity with vascular assessments or Vascular ultrasound concepts is an advantage.
  • Eligibility for, or experience with, recognized credentials such as American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus.
  • Diploma or degree in Midwifery, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, or a related health field.
  • Ability to follow clinical protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and uphold infection prevention standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a respectful and empathetic approach to patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment, including shifts, weekends, or evenings as needed.
