OpenWay Group is an international company and a leader in the automation of financial processing and card-based business solutions. We are announcing an opening for a Junior QA Engineer position in the Data Management team of the R&D Department.

The Data Management team is responsible for developing integration solutions that process, stream, store, and further utilize data accumulated by the processing system. This area of development requires the use of a wide range of technologies, along with a strong understanding of the business processes behind modern payment mechanisms and services. Therefore, we can confidently say that working in our team will allow you to gain diverse experience in developing complex enterprise IT products and to participate in projects with the largest players in the global FinTech market.

Responsibilities

  • Manual testing of new functionality;
  • Creation and maintenance of a base of automated regression tests;
  • Configuration of test environments - Linux, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL DB, Java applications;
  • Participation in analyzing customer requests within your domain (in cooperation with Customer Support);
  • Maintaining and continuously updating professional knowledge in the target business domain (payment processing, data warehouses, regulatory and operational banking reporting).

Requirements

Technical:

  • Knowledge of testing theory and practical testing skills: creating test plans, test cases, checklists, and performing regression testing;
  • Knowledge of SQL and general DBMS theory;
  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages (Java, Kotlin, PL/SQL, other) at a level sufficient for test automation based on the company's internal testing tool;
  • User-level knowledge of Linux OS, experience with PuTTY/WinSCP;
  • Understanding of Git principles.

General

  • Responsibility, accuracy, attention to detail;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Systems thinking;
  • English proficiency sufficient for day-to-day work communication and reading technical documentation, B1 or greater.

Additional Advantages

  • Experience in software testing and organizing automated testing;
  • Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, Kafka;
  • Experience with build tools (Maven/Gradle) and scripting (BAT/SH);
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design principles.
