Software Engineer, Staff

About The Role

As the world's leading provider of AI-powered solutions for social impact, Blackbaud is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to help build and enhance applications that empower purpose-driven organizations to achieve more. You'll contribute across the full software development lifecycle, partnering with engineers, product leaders, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that help customers move forward with confidence. What You'll Do

• Build and maintain high-quality software by designing, developing, and supporting efficient, reusable, and reliable applications.
• Improve customer outcomes by identifying opportunities to enhance application performance, usability, and development processes.
• Collaborate with engineers to design scalable technical solutions that align with product goals and business priorities.
• Partner with Product Management to understand, refine, and document requirements that deliver meaningful customer value.
• Implement user experience designs while ensuring compliance with web standards and accessibility requirements.
• Contribute to Agile delivery by participating in sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery and improve quality, and actively experiment with emerging capabilities as they evolve.
  
  

What You'll Bring

• 2 to 5 years of experience designing and developing applications on the Microsoft technology stack.
• Experience with C#, .NET Core, and object-oriented software development principles.
• Experience with modern web technologies, including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with Git, source control practices, and continuous integration environments.
• Experience building cloud-based applications in Azure, AWS, or GCP and an interest in using AI-assisted tools to improve software delivery and quality.
