This internship is designed for an aspiring developer who wants to move beyond basic websites and dive into the world of enterprise-level applications. You will work alongside senior designers and engineers to help build, maintain, and scale client ecosystems, focusing on Odoo customization, API connectivity, and data-driven workflows.
Internship Objectives
- Odoo Learning & Development: Assist in customizing and maintaining Odoo modules to meet real-world business needs.
- API & Connectivity: Support the team in connecting web interfaces with Odoo backends and third-party services via APIs.
- Code Quality: Learn to write clean, tested, and responsive code under the mentorship of senior developers.
- System Testing: Participate in cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure seamless performance for all users.
- Trend Analysis: Research and report on the latest updates in the Odoo ecosystem and integration technologies.
Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Help develop and maintain operational tools and participate in both tactical and strategic development projects.
- Integration Testing: Assist in ensuring software stability by performing unit testing and identifying bugs in API connections.
- UI/UX Implementation: Support the design team by coding web elements and creating wireframes for web pages and email templates.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for code and workflows to ensure team visibility and project balance.
- System Maintenance: Assist with regular file backups and small website edits as requested by clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Web Design, or a related field.
- Programming Basics: Familiarity with PHP and JavaScript (knowledge of the Laravel Framework is a plus).
- Web Fundamentals: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and a basic understanding of responsive design.
- Interest in ERP: A strong desire to learn Odoo development and database management.
- Problem-Solving: An analytical mindset with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and how systems communicate.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and Version Control (GitHub).
- Prior experience with WordPress or other Content Management Systems.
