With a passion for advancing the use of technology to improve healthcare outcomes, Mr Lee is committed to supporting cutting-edge research programs that aim to develop new diagnostic and treatment solutions for cancer patients under Project Nelly.

Role Description

As part of this initiative, we are seeking Junior Software Developers to work on state of the art development projects with research institutions focused on healthcare. This is a unique opportunity to work on projects that have the potential to make a significant impact on the lives of rare disease patients worldwide. However, we must emphasize that this is a demanding and high-expectation role, and we are looking for a highly motivated individual who is willing to put in the effort required to achieve our goals.

As a Junior Software Developer, you will work alongside a senior developer to design and develop software solutions using Ubuntu (Linux), JavaScript in Django and Node.js, Angular, and Docker for deployment. You will be responsible for implementing software features, testing and debugging, as well as maintaining and improving existing code. 

This is a work-from-home position, and the candidate is expected to work with their own notebook and internet connection. Communication will primarily take place through video conferencing platforms such as Zoom. The candidate will also receive guidance and training from a senior developer to ensure that they have the necessary skills to complete assigned tasks. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. (Fresh Graduate are welcome to apply)
• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, and other related languages.
• Familiarity with software development tools such as Git, Docker, and Agile methodologies.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a senior developer to design and develop software solutions for cancer research programs.
• Implement software features, test, and debug code.
• Maintain and improve existing code.
• Maintain and setup cloud-based servers and resources.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to software development best practices.
• Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with team members.
• Continuously learn and improve technical skills.
• Work in a demanding and high-expectation environment.

Remuneration Package:

The Junior Software Developer position offers a remuneration package from US$700 to US$1,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
