Smart Manufacturing IT Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1.    Responsible for the daily

operation, monitoring, and support of the SAP MES system in a manufacturing

plant, ensuring system stability and high availability.

2.    Handle daily incidents,

troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and emergency response related to the MES

system; coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues.

3.    Manage the operation and

maintenance of databases, middleware, and related software products, including

installation, configuration, upgrade, backup, and performance tuning.

4.    Provide operational and

technical support for production, process engineering, and quality departments,

and follow up on MES-related operational requests.

5.    Support the operation and issue

resolution of interfaces between MES and SAP ERP, WMS, SCADA, and equipment

systems.

6.    Prepare and maintain MES

operation documents, SOPs, emergency procedures, and other technical

documentation.

7.    Participate in system changes,

version upgrades, patch management, and information security–related tasks.

8.    Support IT and digital

transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the

factory.

Qualifications

1.    Bachelor's degree or above in

Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related

disciplines.

2.    Hands-on SAP MES (SAP ME/MII)

operation and maintenance experience; experience in manufacturing industries

such as battery, electronics, or automotive is preferred.

3.    Experience in database

operation and maintenance; familiar with at least one of Oracle, SQL Server, or

MySQL.

4.    Familiar with middleware and

application servers such as WebLogic, Tomcat, or JBoss.

5.    Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix

or Windows Server environments with basic system administration and

troubleshooting skills.

6.    Understanding of manufacturing

processes and shop-floor execution systems; familiarity with production

workflows and manufacturing data management.

7.    Strong problem-solving,

communication, and coordination skills with a service-oriented mindset; willing

to provide on-site support when required.
