Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support and maintain critical digital banking applications.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Digital Channel Platform team. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, stability, and performance of critical banking applications, particularly mobile banking platforms.
As an SRE, you will work closely with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot production issues, manage incidents, and continuously improve system observability and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with minimal documentation by analyzing application behavior and code logic (Java Spring Boot).
- Actively participate in incident management, including on-call support, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews.
- Improve system reliability through continuous monitoring, alerting, and operational excellence.
- Maintain and enrich the knowledge base to support faster issue resolution.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance and stability.
- Monitor applications using observability tools and dashboards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Software Engineering roles.
- Strong experience in troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
- Ability to read and understand Java Spring Boot application code for debugging purposes.
- Hands-on experience with incident management and post-mortem analysis.
- Solid understanding of database systems (SQL).
- Experience with application monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, ELK Stack
- Prior experience in the banking or financial services industry is highly preferred.
- Experience with mobile banking applications is a strong advantage.
