Site Reliability Engineer

Monroe Consulting Group is currently assisting our client, a well-established company in the financial technology industry, in seeking a highly capable and driven professional for the position of Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). This role will be responsible for ensuring system reliability, operational efficiency, and smooth production support within a fast-paced digital environment.

Job Description

• Manage production changes safely and efficiently through proper change management practices.
• Handle incidents, problems, and service requests within agreed SLA timelines.
• Support deployment activities and ensure smooth production releases.
• Monitor system performance proactively and identify issues before they impact operations.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive action plans.
• Review system and production activities to improve stability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Automate operational tasks to reduce manual effort and improve productivity.
• Develop and execute deployment and operational strategies.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to maintain effective communication and support.
• Understand internal and external customer needs and deliver reliable solutions.
• Ensure audit findings, risk controls, and governance requirements are properly addressed.
• Maintain a customer-focused working environment with clear responsibilities and accountability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an SRE, IT Support, Application Support, System Engineer, or similar role.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of ISO 8583, cloud technologies, REST API, networking, and IT Service Management (ITIL v4).
• Familiar with Agile methodology and financial digital products such as biller, disbursement, virtual account, and QR payment systems.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle DB, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Windows, Linux, ELK Stack, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting using Bash or Python.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
• Organized, proactive, reliable, and able to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.
