NeutraDC Nxera Batam is a joint venture between Telkom Indonesia (NeutraDC), Singtel (Nxera), and Medco Power. NeutraDC Nxera is a next-generation data center platform delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance digital infrastructure solutions. Located in Batam, Indonesia's strategic digital gateway, NeutraDC Nxera serves hyperscalers, enterprises, cloud providers, and digital ecosystem players across the region.

Our mission is to provide reliable, sustainable, and world-class data center services that enable digital transformation and business continuity. We combine robust engineering, advanced technology integration, and operational excellence to support mission-critical workloads. At NeutraDC Nxera, we believe that reliable infrastructure is built by great people. As reliable infrastructure requires exceptional talent, we are looking for a Site ConstructionManager to strengthen our team in Batam. If you're excited about working in a fast-paced industry that connects technology, business strategy, and cross-border collaboration — we'd love to have you on board.

Responsibility:

  • Coordinate and supervise daily on-site construction activities in accordance with approved shop drawings, technical specifications, and work methods.
  • Manage and supervise the activities of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors at the project site, including ensuring compliance with work contracts, execution schedules, and progress targets.
  • Manage the Project Management Consultant (PMC), including their work programs, supervision coverage, reporting, and performance against the agreed scope of services.
  • Manage the Design Consultant during construction, covering design intent, RFIs, shop drawing and submittal reviews, and design changes, and track technical queries to close-out.
  • Monitor physical construction progress against the established baseline and lookahead schedule, and report deviations/delays along with corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Assurance & Quality Control function to ensure site works comply with quality standards and technical specifications prior to inspection and handover.
  • Manage the Commissioning Consultant / Commissioning Manager on the Level 1–5 and integrated systems testing (IST) program, including scripts, witness testing, and systems readiness.
  • Coordinate with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) function on the implementation of safety standards at the project site, including supervision of high-risk activities (working at height, electrical works, excavation, etc.).
  • Enforce data center critical-facility requirements, including MEP coordination, cleanliness and containment protocols in white space and electrical rooms, and preservation of design redundancy.
  • Manage on-site resources (manpower, heavy equipment, materials) to ensure effective and efficient execution of work.
  • Manage interfaces between contractors, PMC, design consultant, and commissioning team, chairing site coordination meetings and maintaining an issue register with owners and due dates.
  • Identify site issues/obstacles, take mitigation steps, and escalate unresolved matters with recommended options.
  • Prepare and maintain daily/weekly construction documentation, including progress reports, photo documentation, and site diaries.
  • Drive close-out and handover, including punch list, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, commissioning records, and turnover to the operations team.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 3–5 years in data center, MEP, or mission-critical facility construction projects, and prior involvement in at least one new-build data center delivered through to commissioning and handover.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, shop drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards, and familiarity with data center commissioning levels.
  • Familiar with HSE regulations and permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities.
  • Working knowledge of data center commissioning, including Level 1–5 and integrated systems testing (IST), witness testing, and systems readiness.
  • Strong understanding of critical MEP systems — HV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, and CRAH/CRAC — and of redundancy and concurrent maintainability concepts (N+1, 2N).
  • Experience supervising contractors/sub-contractors and managing site resources (manpower, equipment, materials).
  • Experience managing a Project Management Consultant (PMC) and design consultants during construction, including RFIs, shop drawing and submittal reviews, and design change control.
  • Proficient in construction scheduling and progress reporting, including baseline and lookahead schedules and S-curve tracking (Primavera P6 or MS Project).
  • Able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
