Join our team in Amandari. Presided over by a sacred stone tiger, Amandari was designed after a traditional Balinese village on the verdant lip of the Ayung River Gorge. Free-standing guest suites are reached via winding pathways, while the curving swimming pool mimics the rice paddies below. Close to the artistic centre of Ubud, this place of peace invites both reflection and the exploration of Bali's cultural heart.

Role

The Shop & Gallery Attendant supports the daily operations of the Gallery boutique, delivering exceptional guest service while assisting the Retail Director with retail and clerical functions. This entry-level role is ideal for someone passionate about luxury retail, artisan goods, and guest engagement, with a strong desire to learn and grow within a refined hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a personalized and engaging guest experience with a focus on service and sales.
  • Develop strong knowledge of artists, products, and the story behind each item.
  • Maintain boutique presentation standards, including visual merchandising, stock replenishment, and product organization.
  • Assist with sales transactions, guest inquiries, and follow-up on waitlisted or special-order items.
  • Support inventory counts, tracking, and basic retail accounting records.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate when appropriate.
  • Assist with packing, shipping, and inventory management tasks.
  • Maintain daily journals and communicate updates to the Retail Director
  • Support clerical duties and administrative tasks related to boutique operations.
  • Represent a positive and professional resort image at all times.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hotel, luxury retail, or customer service environment preferred.
  • Strong interest in artisan goods, fashion, art, and luxury retail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Positive, engaging, and service-oriented personality.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computerized systems.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
