SHE Project Assistant Manager

We are welcoming high caliber professionals to come on board as part of our management team as SHE Assistant Manager who will make a great contribution for our company to lead the deployment and compliance of Unilever's SHE Framework Standards, foster a Zero Harm culture, manage contractor and construction safety, build site capabilities, and ensure robust governance, training, and continuous improvement in Project area.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring all project activities, starting from the engineering design to construction are planned, executed, and monitored in full compliance with safety standards, resulting in zero harm, regulatory compliance, and improved safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement and monitor project safety plans to ensure compliance with statutory and company HSE requirements.
2. Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, inspections, and safety audits across all project phases.
3. Ensure contractor and subcontractor adherence to approved safety procedures and permit‑to‑work systems.
4. Investigate near miss(es), Incidents, recommend corrective actions, and track closure to prevent recurrence. Strengthen the Leading Indicator
5. Promote safety awareness and culture through training, communication, and on‑site engagement.
6. Support regulatory inspections, safety reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Maintain Communication Channel related safety to all stakeholder during project execution phases, including Operations, Technical Authorities, Unilever Global Safety, and other relevant parties.

Job Requirement:

• Willing to be based in Sei Mangkei, North Sumatera.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Minimum S1 (Bachelor) in Engineering Field, Safety/K3, or relevant discipline with 5–8 years of safety experience, including hands‑on involvement in project or construction environments (industrial, plant, or infrastructure projects preferred).
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment/PHA, PTW systems, and contractor safety management.
• AK3U Certified, other relevant recognized safety qualifications will be a plus (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in conducting safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, SIMOPS Analysis, and toolbox talks.
• Able to interpret P&ID, engineering drawings, method statements, and risk assessments from a safety perspective.
• Good understanding of local regulatory requirements and statutory compliance.
• Strong communication and influencing skills to engage with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work proactively on-site with a hands‑on and solution‑oriented approach.
