SETTLEMENT ASSOCIATE

Job Summary:

The Settlement Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely settlement of capital market transactions, including equities, bonds, and other financial instruments. This role supports post-trade operations by coordinating with internal teams, custodians, brokers, and clearing houses to ensure smooth settlement processes and compliance with market regulations.

Responsibilities:

Process and monitor daily settlement of capital market transactions, including securities and cash settlements.

Ensure accuracy and timeliness of trade settlements in accordance with market rules and internal procedures.

Perform trade matching and verify settlement instructions with counterparties.

Coordinate with brokers, custodians, clearing houses, and banks to facilitate smooth securities and cash settlement.

Monitor settlement funding requirements and ensure sufficient cash is available for settlement obligations.

Process and verify cash movements related to trade settlements, including payments and receipts.

Monitor and follow up on failed or pending trades and cash settlement issues to ensure timely resolution.

Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies, including securities and cash reconciliation breaks.

Maintain proper documentation and records of settlement activities.

Support reconciliation of securities positions and cash balances with custodians and internal systems.

Assist in preparing settlement reports and operational updates.

Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements related to settlement activities.

Requirements:

Minimum bachelor's degree in any field; finance or accounting background is advantageous.

Minimum 2 3 years experiences in the Settlement, especially in capital market industry.

Professional, Hardworking and Disciplined

Excellent computer and administrative skills

Multitasking and can work under pressure
