Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creative process from raw footage to final cinematic output.
- Edit high-quality video content for campaigns, commercials, and branded storytelling.
- Apply advanced cinematography knowledge to ensure visuals are emotionally engaging.
- Work closely with the creative & production team to shape mood, tone, and narrative flow.
- Enhance footage through expert use of color grading, sound design, and visual effects.
- Maintain BookCabin's creative direction and push boundaries of visual storytelling.
- Mentor junior editors and guide best practices in cinematic editing.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Video Editor with strong cinematography skills.
- Portfolio/reel showcasing cinematic storytelling, advanced editing, and color grading.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve (for color), and other editing tools.
- Strong understanding of visual composition, lighting, and camera movements.
- Ability to create mood and emotional depth through editing rhythm.
- Experience with motion graphics/animation is a plus.
- Highly detail-oriented, creative, and able to work under deadlines.
