About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Tax Officer to join our Finance team and play a key role in ensuring accurate tax reporting and full compliance with Indonesian tax regulations.
In this role, you will be responsible for handling day-to-day tax operations, including tax calculation, reporting, reconciliation, and documentation. You will also support tax audits, monitor regulatory updates, and collaborate closely with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure all tax processes are executed accurately and on time.
This role is ideal for someone who has strong attention to detail, solid knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, and the ability to manage multiple tax obligations in a dynamic business environment. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and support the development of efficient tax systems and compliance practices.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare, calculate, and report corporate taxes, including VAT, Withholding Tax (Article 21/23), and Corporate Income Tax (Article 25/29).
- Prepare and submit monthly and annual tax returns in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Perform fiscal reconciliation and analyze differences between accounting records and tax reporting.
- Maintain accurate and complete tax documentation, including tax invoices, withholding slips, and supporting documents.
- Support and handle tax audit processes, including preparing required data and liaising with tax authorities.
- Coordinate with Accounting and Finance teams on tax-related matters and reporting requirements.
- Monitor updates in tax regulations and ensure timely implementation of regulatory changes.
- Provide recommendations to improve tax compliance and support basic tax planning initiatives.
- Support internal and external audit processes related to taxation.
- Contribute to the improvement of tax processes, systems, and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Taxation, Accounting, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in taxation roles.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in preparing and submitting monthly and annual tax reports.
- Brevet A & B certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with Coretax or other tax reporting systems.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines effectively.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
