Job Description
Responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing scalable software applications using .NET / .NET Core technologies. The role will work closely with Product, Business, QA, DevOps, and other technology teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using C#, .NET, and .NET Core.
- Translate business requirements and technical specifications into scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, web services, and backend services.
- Design and optimize database structures, queries, and stored procedures using SQL Server or other relational databases.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues, including production incidents and performance-related problems.
- Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, QA, Product Managers, Business Users, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in system design, technical discussions, and architecture improvements.
- Develop unit tests and support integration and system testing to ensure software quality.
- Maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, API documentation, and technical specifications.
- Support deployment, release management, and production monitoring in collaboration with DevOps/Infrastructure teams.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers.
- Identify opportunities to improve development processes, system architecture, and engineering practices.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices within the .NET ecosystem.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in software development, with strong experience in .NET / .NET Core.
- Strong programming skills in C# and object-oriented programming.
- Solid experience in developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, database design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
- Experience with Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core.
- Good understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
- Experience with Git and source control management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, cloud platforms, or DevOps practices is an advantage.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Able to work independently while also providing technical guidance to other developers.
