Senior SAP Basis Consultant

Purpose of the Role 

Lead SAP BASIS workstreams and provide strategic technical solutions that support business transformation initiatives while ensuring secure, stable, and high-performing SAP environments. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Lead SAP BASIS implementation, upgrade, migration, and support projects from planning through go-live. 
2. Define SAP BASIS architecture, standards, and best practices across SAP landscapes. 
3. Oversee SAP system administration activities including installation, upgrades, patching, and configuration of SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, FIORI, etc.). 
4. Lead performance monitoring and optimization initiatives to ensure system reliability and scalability. 
5. Manage database administration activities related to SAP systems (Oracle, SQL Server, HANA). 
6. Oversee transport management, system copies, client refreshes, and background job administration. 
7. Ensure SAP security, user administration, compliance, and audit readiness requirements are met. 
8. Utilize SAP Solution Manager, EarlyWatch Alert, and other monitoring tools to proactively manage system health. 
9. Manage project risks, technical issues, and escalations while ensuring timely resolution. 
10. Provide mentoring, coaching, and technical leadership to junior and middle-level consultants. 
11. Support business development initiatives, including solution design, effort estimation, and technical proposal preparation. 

Qualifications 

1. Bachelor's degree in any field. 
2. Minimum 10 years of experience as an SAP BASIS Consultant. 
3. Proven experience as an SAP BASIS Lead or leading SAP BASIS workstreams or technical teams in implementation projects. 
4. Experience in multiple full-cycle SAP implementation, upgrade, or migration projects. 
5. Strong expertise in SAP BASIS administration, SAP architecture, landscape management, and SAP S/4HANA administration. 
6. Experience in SAP installation, upgrade, migration, database administration, performance optimization, and high availability solutions. 
7. Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, EarlyWatch Alert, and SAP security & authorization concepts is highly preferred. 
8. Having SAP certification is an advantage. 
9. Ability to design technical solutions and deliver SAP BASIS projects based on SAP best practices. 
10. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills. 
11. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams and manage stakeholders.
