Responsibilities
- Work within Agile Scrum teams to design, execute, and validate instrument control software, service software, and module-based applications for DNA sequencing and genotyping devices.
- Develop, review, and execute manual test cases covering functional, integration, regression, system, and performance testing.
- Design and implement automation test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage for regression and critical workflows.
- Define and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test cases to ensure high product quality and compliance with requirements.
- Perform defect analysis by investigating, reproducing, and working closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Set up and maintain test environments, including test data preparation for effective validation.
- Execute both manual and automated test cycles and ensure results are properly documented and tracked.
- Report, track, and manage defects using test and issue management tools, ensuring clear communication of risks and impacts.
- Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to ensure alignment on quality objectives and release readiness.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, QA process enhancements, and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing with strong expertise in both manual and automation testing.
- Experience in testing complex systems such as medical devices, instrumentation software, or image processing systems is a plus.
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux based GUI applications.
- Strong understanding of test methodologies including functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and acceptance testing.
- Hands on experience with test and defect management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, release cycles, and quality assurance best practices.
- Proficient in documentation of test plans, test cases, and test reports using standard tools.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in Agile teams.
