Responsibilities
- Work within Agile Scrum teams to design, execute, and validate instrument control software, service software, and module-based applications for DNA sequencing and genotyping devices.
- Design, implement, and maintain automation test scripts and frameworks to improve coverage and efficiency across regression and critical workflows.
- Develop, review, and execute test cases covering functional, integration, regression, system, and performance testing.
- Define and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test cases to ensure product quality and compliance with requirements.
- Investigate, reproduce, and work with developers to resolve defects.
- Set up and maintain test environments and test data for effective validation.
- Report, track, and manage defects using issue management tools, ensuring clear communication of risks and impacts.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure alignment on quality objectives and release readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing with strong expertise in both manual and automation testing.
- Must be proficient in automation tools and programming languages such as Typescript , Pytest, Selenium, and Playwright.
- Must have hands on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Hands on experience with test management tools such as Jira or TestRail.
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux based GUI applications.
- Strong understanding of test methodologies including functional, regression, integration, system, and acceptance testing.
- Experience in complex system testing such as medical devices or instrumentation software is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and quality assurance best practices.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in Agile teams.
