Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and fluent English-speaking IT Project Manager to lead and oversee the execution of critical IT infrastructure projects within our data center environments. In this role, you will not be responsible for the facility's physical plant (MEP), but rather the technology lifecycle that lives inside it—including large-scale server deployments, hardware refreshes, storage expansions, virtualization layer upgrades, and complex workload migrations. You will act as the primary liaison between internal technical engineering teams, business stakeholders, and global vendors, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with minimal to no disruption to business operations.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Project Lifecycle Management

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and closure of IT infrastructure projects inside data centers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop detailed project charters, scope definitions, comprehensive schedules (WBS), resource allocation plans, and budget tracking mechanisms.
  • Manage technology rollouts, including the introduction of new compute, storage, backup systems, and core network migrations.

2. IT Infrastructure & Migration Coordination

  • Supervise logical data center initiatives such as server virtualization upgrades, OS migrations, database movements, and disaster recovery replication setups.
  • Coordinate the logistics and scheduling for lift-and-shift physical-to-virtual (P2V) or data center-to-cloud migration waves.
  • Partner with capacity planning teams to ensure upcoming hardware allocations align with space, rack capacity, and structured network cabling availability.

3. Global Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Act as the primary, articulate point of contact for international stakeholders, internal engineering leads, and business business partners.
  • Manage relationship and delivery timelines with global IT hardware vendors (e.g., Cisco, Dell, HP, NetApp) and software providers.
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings, translate technical complexities into clear business updates, and deliver comprehensive progress reports to executive leadership.

4. Risk, Change & Quality Control

  • Proactively identify technical risks, dependency bottlenecks, or resource constraints, and develop robust mitigation strategies to avoid project delays or operational downtime.
  • Execute strict change management processes to ensure any modifications to project scope or live production environments are properly vetted and approved.
  • Ensure all IT deployments comply with corporate information security standards and IT governance frameworks.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4–6 years of experience as an IT Project Manager, with a proven track record of managing enterprise-level IT infrastructure projects or data center-centric migrations.
  • Language Proficiency:Must be fully fluent in English (both written and verbal) with excellent communication, presentation, and cross-cultural collaboration skills. Capable of driving meetings smoothly with international clients or vendors.

Technical Competency (Must-Have):

  • Solid understanding of enterprise IT architecture: servers, enterprise storage (SAN/NAS), networking infrastructure (switches, firewalls), and backup/recovery environments.
  • Hands-on familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Red Hat OpenShift/Hypervisors) and cloud concepts.
  • Proficiency in utilizing project management software (such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or Asana) to manage tasks, timelines, and dependencies.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team-steering capabilities to influence and drive cross-functional engineering teams without direct authority.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to maintain composure during high-pressure migration windows.
  • Certifications (Highly Preferred):
  • Project Management: PMP (Project Management Professional) or Prince2 Practitioner.
  • Agile/Frameworks: Scrum Master (CSM) or ITIL Foundation certification is a strong plus.
