Position: Senior Project Engineer
1 Year Contract / Permanent
Point of hired: Indonesia
Working Location: China (Fly in / Fly out)
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the overall coordination and technical execution of offshore engineering projects with floater developments. The role ensures successful delivery of project scope through effective integration of engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning activities while maintaining compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, schedule, budget, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Responsible for coordinating with all stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and execution strategy.
- Ensures continuous monitoring of project progress and alignment with approved plans. Oversees integration of all EPCIC activities and ensures proper execution across all project phases.
- Identifies project risks and ensures appropriate mitigation and corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
Engineering Management
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all engineering activities from design phase through project completion.
- Ensures engineering deliverables meet technical requirements, applicable standards, and project specifications.
- Provides technical guidance and support to engineering teams and ensures effective resolution of technical issues during execution.
- Ensures compliance with industry codes, regulations, and internal procedures.
Procurement Management
- Responsible for ensuring procurement activities are aligned with project schedule and budget requirements.
- Coordinates with QA/QC teams to support supplier qualification, inspection, and audit activities.
- Reviews and addresses supplier quality issues and ensures implementation of corrective actions. Ensures procurement execution minimizes risk exposure to the project and organization.
Construction Management
- Responsible for overseeing offshore and onshore construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory obligations.
- Monitors construction progress against planned milestones and ensures timely achievement of key deliverables.
- Supports construction teams in resolving execution challenges and ensures alignment with overall project objectives.
Coordination and Interface Management
- Acts as the primary focal point for project communication and interface coordination across all disciplines. Facilitates regular project meetings and provides accurate progress updates to stakeholders. Ensures effective coordination between engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning teams. Supports resolution of technical and interface issues to ensure smooth project execution. Provides leadership and guidance to project team members.
Work Relationships
The role interfaces internally with engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning, project controls, QA/QC, HSSE, interface, contracts, and supply chain management teams. Externally, the role interacts with contractors, vendors, subcontractors, third-party service providers, and local authorities.
Job Requirements
Experience
- Minimum fifteen years of experience in offshore oil and gas industry, with strong exposure to floater projects.
- Demonstrated experience in EPCIC project execution and offshore construction environments. Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams in complex project environments.
- Proven experience in at least two floater projects
Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
