Senior Process Engineer

Help shape the performance and reliability of some of Indonesia's key geothermal operations. Join Star Energy Geothermal as our Senior Process Engineer and provide process engineering support across our Salak, Darajat, and Wayang Windu geothermal assets.

In this role, you will support plant performance, reliability improvement, process optimization, troubleshooting, process safety, shutdown activities, and strategic engineering projects. You will collaborate with Operations & Maintenance, Project, Strategic & Planning, and Facility Engineering teams to help ensure our geothermal operations run safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Job Description

• Provide daily process engineering support to Operations & Maintenance teams.
• Complete Engineering Work Requests, including process simulations, heat and mass balances, and hydraulic calculations.
• Participate in Management of Change and Root Cause Analysis activities.
• Support shutdowns and turnarounds, including QA/QC, inspection planning, closure inspections, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.
• Monitor plant performance and conduct process optimization, troubleshooting, and technical due diligence studies.
• Review and support retrofits, brownfield modifications, and new development projects.
• Lead or participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and other process safety activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary technical and operational teams.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 8 years of process engineering experience in geothermal, power generation, renewable energy, or upstream oil and gas.
• Experience in surface facility and process equipment design from Conceptual Design and FEED through Detailed Engineering.
• Proficiency in Aspen HYSYS or similar software for process simulation, heat and mass balance, hydraulic calculations, and equipment sizing.
• Experience with HAZOP, HAZID, HIRA, What-If Analysis, and other Process Hazard Analysis methods.
• Understanding of steam field systems, power generation facilities, Balance of Plant, utilities, and thermal power processes.
• Familiarity with relevant international engineering codes and standards.
• Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required.
