Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, operate, and optimize enterprise-grade network infrastructure that supports mission-critical payment systems. This role ensures the highest levels of network availability, performance, and security, while also leading improvements in architecture, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise and data center network architectures, including LAN, WAN, VPN, routing, and switching.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of network infrastructure that supports 24/7 payment operations.
- Configure, deploy, and optimize network devices and security components such as VLANs, routing protocols, firewalls, IPS/IDS, and segmentation.
- Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and capacity expansion with minimal service disruption.
- Monitor network performance and conduct advanced troubleshooting through log and packet analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Perform routine maintenance, including patches and firmware updates, and resolve complex issues such as connectivity and routing problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide recommendations to enhance network scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 57 years of experience as a Network Engineer in Cisco-based enterprise or data center environments.
- Deep expertise with Cisco routing and switching technologies, including IOS/NX-OS, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
- Strong proficiency in Cisco network security solutions (ASA/Firepower, IPS/IDS, ACLs, segmentation).
- Skilled in network monitoring, advanced troubleshooting, and packet/log analysis using Cisco tools and industry-standard platforms.
- Hands-on experience implementing high-availability architectures and supporting 24/7 mission-critical systems.
- Proven ability to plan and execute Cisco network upgrades, migrations, and capacity improvements.
- Cisco certifications preferred: CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, or CCIE (Enterprise/Data Center/Security).
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
