Role Summary

TheSenior Medical Affairs Manager Vaccines is responsible for ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance in execution of medical-to-medical initiatives and stakeholder-centric engagement, in relation to field-based medical activities.

The Senior Medical Affairs Manager Vaccines supports the training and development of Medical Science Liaison, BU team including the development ofcountry external stakeholder strategy, execution ofexternal medical to medical engagement according to business unit medical strategy, and alignment with business unit Medical Leads on implementation and delivery of medical projectsin Indonesia.

The Senior Medical Affairs Manager is also responsible for quantifying field medical impact and monitoring Medical Science Liaison, BU performance management to maximise the impact of medical activities.

The Senior Medical Affairs Manager Vaccines will act as the Country Senior Medical Point of Contact in Indonesia and serves as the key Indonesia Country liaison with country/cluster/regional/HQ Commercial, Medical, GMPE, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, Safety, Corporate Affairs and, Legal functions.

Role Responsibilities

  • External Medical and Scientific engagementstrategy and implementation
    • Support development of cross-BU medical field strategy for external stakeholder engagement in alignmentwithindividual business unit medical strategies
    • Establish and strengthen medical and scientific relationship between Medical Science Liaison, BU team and external stakeholders
    • Ensure effective datacommunication and medical insight capturing
    • Collaborate with Medical Science Liaison, BU team on conduct of advisory boards;organization and delivery of relevant educational/training workshops/meetings;and participation in medical/scientific conferences.

  • External CollaborationProjects:
    • In collaboration with BU Medical Affairs, ensure timely and efficient communicationtocomplete required internal/externalprocess including system administration, maintain good documentation, tracking, payment,material,anddrug shipment in a timely manner.

  • Pfizer-SponsoredResearch:
    • Ensure compliance of operational requirements
    • Training and Development
    • Provide disease(s), product(s) or basic pharmacology training to relevant colleagues, as required, following liaison with the Training Department
    • Participate in both internal and external training/meetings as recommended by supervisor to improve efficiency, competency and/or for future career development
    • Solicit and consolidate feedback from external and internal stakeholders in relation to team effectiveness, quantify and communicate the value and effectiveness of field-based medical activities
    • Develop, monitor and report KPIs in relation to field-based medical activity

  • Management
    • Support Category Medical Lead in the leadership of the Medical team.
    • Provide input and support in the development of overall Medical Strategies and Objectives
    • Assist the Medical Affairs colleagues in special projects, locally, regionally and internationally.
    • Country Medical Leadership & Representation
    • Serve as the primary medical point of contact for Indonesia, representing the company in all interactions with regulatory authorities, medical societies, and external partners.
    • Lead the development and execution of country-level medical strategies, ensuring alignment with global and regional objectives.
    • Oversee and implement medical governance, compliance, and quality management for all medical activities in Indonesia, working in close collaboration with compliance and MQG colleagues.
    • Lead the monthly Country Medical Council meeting in Indonesia, maintaining oversight of all medical colleagues and medical activities in Indonesia.
    • Regularly update the MISP Cluster Medical Lead and Category Leads on medical activities in Indonesia.
    • Other Medical Affairs projects as defined by the BU Medical Leads

    Qualifications

    • Tertiary education in medicine (preferred) or a health science related discipline; relevant specialty training desirable
    • Industry, clinical, research or academic experience; with track record of publications preferred
    • Knowledge of clinical research and clinical development processes desirable
    • > 10 years experience in field-based medical role / Vaccine
