Job Overview:
The Senior Materials Administrator has developed specialized Material Management -specific skills through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. They can provide support to their team with a limited degree of supervision. The Senior Materials Administrator can be an informal resource for colleagues with less experience. The Senior Materials Administrator is skilled in various processes, procedures, and systems.
Responsibilities
Key Task and Responsibilities:
- Handle duties related to inventory management and the oversight of products and materials
- Ensure effective communications among with cross functional teams
- Identify opportunities to better organize and expedite the materials to the work front
- Accountable for the successful administration of Material Management activities assigned
- Manage, track, report, and forecast all material receipt & issue activities
- Complete special initiatives to effectively utilize the available storage space in coordination with the project, service providers & yards and construction sites
- Utilize the Material Management System (Smart Materials)
- Ensure that meetings, analysis, investigations, follow-up actions, and support are completed in a timely, thorough, and well-documented manner
Qualifications
Essential Qualification and Education:
- Associate's Degree/Foundation (or equivalent) in relevant discipline or HSD/GED/IGCSE OR 2 years of relevant experience
- 1-6 years relevant experience
- Demonstrated attention to detail, reliability, and ability to learn new topics and technology quickly
- Strong interpersonal skills are required to deal effectively with operational management throughout the organization with solid written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate and proficient in the use of spreadsheets and material management software
- Demonstrated solid understanding of Material Management and all aspects of the broad tasks
