Part B:Responsibilities and Duties
- Motivation, patience, and a willingness to experiment are also important. The Sr. Flavorist Manager must have the ability to create/modify flavors
- Provide timely responsiveness to ongoing testing enquiries and processes
- Certified Flavorist with the ability to create aspiring flavors or the relevant experience
- Manage, keep track of all test results, comments and ensure that they are recorded without any errors
- Ensure proper data management is maintained in the database of the creations, ingredients, and supplies
- Assist to resolve related issues where necessary
- Provide knowledge support for product pricing, product costing etc.
- Attend to all matters pertaining to lab processes, testing procedures and results
- Coach, mentor, and guide junior and senior/flavorists on their assigned tasks and ensure adherence to standards and protocols where necessary
- Manage function/team cross functionally
- Shares and drives adoption of best practices flavor sales across all regions.
- Coordinates global counterparts for core and global customers
- Collaborates with Marketing to develop go to market approach, sales-support materials and tools to drive customer engagement.
- Develop commercial proposals for regional and global flavor
- Provides leadership and mobilizes efforts across functions (R&D, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain) to optimize opportunities, improve cross functional execution
- Any other ad-hoc tasks by Senior Management (representative/owner of business unit)
Part C:Qualifications & Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills, Knowledge,Etc)
- Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree/Diploma in any science discipline, food engineering, food science, chemistry, or biology with at least 8 years relevant working experience as a hands-on Flavourist / Manager in any flavour or related industry (preferably tobacco industry)
Part D:Specific Requirements (Mandatory for the role) (not the same with Part C)
- At least 4 years of working experience in a managerial capacity leading a team of flavourists
- Highly responsible and reliable with exceptional attention to details.
- Experience in working within tight deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to maintain confidentiality for all work-related matters.
- Creativity and scientific proficiency with a sensitive and distinctive palette.
- Good level of liaison skills and ability to meet deadlines and targets.
- Good team-work skills actively involve colleagues across the business, builds the benefits of collaborative working.
- High sense of proactivity.
- Innovative thinker, ability to provides speedy solutions and hands on.

- Working Location: Batam
