Job Description

Job title – Senior Manager, APAC- Nutrition Improvement

Location – Jakarta, Indonesia and across ASEAN

This is a high-impact sales and BD leadership role at the intersection of business growth and global health impact.

The APAC Nutrition Improvement (NI) Senior Manager is accountable for accelerating the NI business across APAC—driving double-digit growth while contributing to the reduction of nutritional deficiencies at scale. With a focus on fortified staples (rice, flour, edible oil) and Multiple Micronutrient Supplements (MMS), this role unlocks sustainable, large-scale nutrition solutions by combining commercial excellence, fit-for-purpose innovation and ecosystem partnerships. The role leads a lean APAC NI sales team (South Asia and ASEAN) and reports to the NI Global Director.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the APAC NI business and impact (lives reached) growth plan and strategy; translate ambition into market-backed roadmaps and quarterly execution plans, aligned with NI Global priorities.
  • Directly manage and develop the APAC NI sales team: set objectives, coach performance, build capabilities, and ensure a strong talent pipeline.
  • Serve as the APAC commercial interface to the NI Global team: drive governance, provide transparent pipeline/forecast reporting, ensure rapid decision-making, and alignment.
  • Drive hunter‑style business development: identify whitespace, fill in the funnel with cross APAC opportunities, and convert leads into sales.
  • Lead and enable account managers with narrative, value propositions, pricing guidance tailored to APAC customers and procurement models, with full support from the Global NI team.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Procurement, and Supply to set up a fit for purpose cost position for NI product solutions.
  • Lead commercial offers and negotiations for high‑volume fortification programs; secure multi‑year agreements and frame conditions where appropriate.
  • Engage the APAC fortification ecosystem (ministries, UN agencies, NGOs, donors, standard bodies, development banks, industry associations) to catalyze demand and enable compliance
  • Drive channel innovation and partnership models to expand reach and accelerate program delivery
  • Track and report both commercial and impact outcomes (e.g., fortified volume, beneficiaries/servings as per NI methodology) in alignment with global NI reporting standards.

You Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in nutrition, food technology, business, or related field
  • 8+ years in sales, business development and/or commercial leadership in nutrition, food ingredients, or adjacent B2B sectors within APAC
  • Proven track record of landing and scaling multi‑market, high impact opportunities
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience (direct management): including coaching, performance management, and team capability building
  • Strong understanding of the food fortification and/or public health nutrition space in APAC is highly desirable
  • Experience working in complex global matrix organizations, influencing senior stakeholders across functions. Strong ecosystem network across APAC public‑private stakeholders (government, NGOs, UN agencies, implementers, and millers) is a strong advantage
