About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead and drive maintenance engineering activities in our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, preventive maintenance effectiveness, machine performance, and overall operational efficiency to support production and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage planning and scheduling of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, repair, and servicing activities for manufacturing equipment and facilities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Maintenance Engineers and Technicians, providing performance feedback, mentoring, and people management support.
  • Ensure equipment performance, reliability, and availability consistently meet operational requirements and specifications.
  • Manage maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory to ensure timely support for maintenance activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve maintenance procedures, work instructions, maintenance records, and preventive maintenance systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce equipment breakdowns, increase machine uptime, and support company operational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance procedures and maintenance management system requirements.
  • Identify training needs and support competency development and certification programs for maintenance personnel.
  • Coordinate the purchasing, testing, installation, and commissioning of machinery, equipment, fixtures, and specialized components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support equipment installation, qualification, relocation, and expansion projects.
  • Lead and drive maintenance and engineering projects by facilitating project meetings, tracking actions, managing timelines, and ensuring successful project execution.
  • Monitor and improve energy management effectiveness and support sustainability initiatives within the facility.
  • Work closely with equipment suppliers, contractors, and service vendors to manage equipment acquisition, maintenance, modifications, and technical support activities.
  • Analyze equipment failures and maintenance data to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure full compliance with Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (QEHS) management systems in respective area in charge.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Maintenance Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Facility Engineering, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience leading maintenance activities, projects, or technical teams within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance systems, equipment reliability, and maintenance best practices.
  • Familiarity with Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Experience leading Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or operational excellence projects.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive project execution.
  • Knowledge of equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
