About the Role
As Lead Legal Counsel, you will be the key strategic partner to senior leadership, project teams, and corporate functions across the Group. You will play a central role in enabling major geothermal and wind developments, ensuring strong governance, compliance, and risk management across all business activities.
This role requires deep expertise in corporate and project legal matters, the ability to manage complex stakeholders, and a proactive mindset in supporting fast-moving operations and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including EPC, drilling, O&M, consultancy, supply contracts, NDAs, MoUs, joint venture agreements, and financing documents.
- Manage end-to-end corporate governance matters: Board and BoC resolutions, shareholder resolutions, meeting minutes, POAs, corporate registries, and secretarial compliance.
- Ensure timely and accurate regulatory submissions to authorities such as OJK, IDX, BKPM, EBTKE, KLHK, and other relevant government bodies.
- Support the full lifecycle of geothermal and wind projects (PSPE, IPB, permitting, land acquisition, environmental and forestry requirements).
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (project, operations, finance, commercial, HC), external legal counsel, contractors, lenders, and government agencies.
- Provide legal interpretation, risk assessment, and advisory support for day-to-day operations, business decisions, and corporate activities.
- Oversee and manage disputes, claims, and potential litigation involving vendors, contractors, or land-related issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes, contract standards, and internal governance frameworks.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of legal experience in corporate, energy, infrastructure, or project development sectors.
- Strong background in renewable energy, especially geothermal or wind, is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in corporate governance, project contracts, regulatory compliance, and multi-stakeholder coordination.
- Exposure to project financing, M&A, or cross-border transactions is an advantage.
- Bachelor of Law (LL.B) from a reputable university; LL.M preferred.
- PERADI license preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across diverse teams and complex projects.
