Senior Legal Associate

Role Overview

Pluang is on the lookout for a Legal Counsel with 5–7 years of solid law firm experience to join our growing legal team. This is more than just a legal role — it's an opportunity to be part of a high-growth, fast-paced company with international reach. You'll play a key part in shaping our legal strategy while working closely with cross-functional teams across the business. In this role, you'll take the lead on corporate governance, legal compliance, contracts, internal advisory, and dispute management. Responsibilities:

• Manage corporate governance and secretarial matters across group entities, including resolutions, statutory records, and regulatory filings.
• Oversee general compliance activities and ensure adherence to applicable laws, licenses, and regulatory obligations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts (procurement, services, partnerships, licensing, etc.).
• Provide clear, solution-oriented legal advice on matters relating to corporate law, regulatory compliance, labor/employment, and commercial operations.
• Oversee and manage customer and manpower disputes, including advising internal teams on strategy and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders (HR, Finance, Operations, Marketing etc.) to support business activities.
• Contribute to the development of legal templates, SOPs, and operational improvements.
• Coordinate with external counsel and regulatory authorities when necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a reputable university; licensed to practice in Indonesia or other relevant jurisdiction.
• 5–7 years PQE at a top-tier law firm with focus on corporate/commercial law, M&A, or regulatory matters.
• Proven experience leading legal due diligence workstreams.
• Impressive legal drafting and analytical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken; confident in drafting and advising in English.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to deliver practical legal advice aligned with business objectives.
• Self-driven, highly organized, and able to manage competing priorities under pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to handle customer and employment-related disputes with professionalism and sound judgment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset; capable of building trust and influence across functions.
• Thrives in fast-paced, agile environments with exposure to international operations.
