Job Description

We're the team clients hire to win — not to maintain.

GTMLab is a paid growth and strategy firm built on a contrarian bet: that data and AI, wired into every part of a marketing system, beat the legacy agency model on every axis that matters. We just started 2 years ago but we already scaled to clients across 6 countries and 15+ industries.

We are a team of 80+ senior operators: ex-investment bankers, hedge fund managers, data scientists, Forbes 30 Under 30 honorees, alumni of Y Combinator, Lazada, Unilever etc who shipped real growth before they shipped here.

And we call it a Lab for a reason: winning in growth is fundamentally a question of how well you experiment. We run experiments every day — against real budgets, with real consequences. That's the energy you're walking into.

Why us.

  • We build the best. The whole team runs on a pro-athlete mentality. Good enough doesn't cut it here. We train, we ship, we review, and we ship again — every day. If you're someone who genuinely enjoys solving hard problems alongside a sharp, multidisciplinary team, you'll feel at home fast.
  • Your portfolio goes global. We run growth for clients across 6 countries, so every account is a new category, a new kind of buyer, a new problem worth solving. You won't get bored.
  • You get a front-row seat on expansion. We're actively building beyond Indonesia right now, and if you want to help open a brand-new market, the next 18 months are exactly the window to do it.
  • The off-sites and client meetings actually matter. Recent ones have taken us through Bali, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore. You'll be in the room where it happens, not dialing in.

The role

You're not here to manage ads. You're here to drive growth.

As a Senior Performance Marketing at GTMLab, you'll own paid acquisition as a business function, turning creative, media buying, and data into scalable growth systems for companies across multiple industries and markets.

The job starts before any ad goes live. You read the company the way an owner does: how it actually makes money, where the margin really sits, what's quietly capping its growth. And half the time the thing holding it back isn't the ad account at all. It's the pricing. The retention curve. The unit economics nobody's looked at in a year. The offer that converts on the call but falls apart at scale.

Find that first. Then — and only then — you point the channel craft at it: the creative, the testing, the budget decisions made under real pressure. That's when marketing actually compounds, because it's aimed at the one thing that moves the business instead of spread across ten that don't.

Most operators have one half. They can run a clean account but can't tell you why the business isn't growing — or they understand the business cold but can't translate it into spend that performs. This role needs both, in the same person, at the same time. If you've been running ads without understanding the business behind them, this role is not for you.

You'll work closely with strategists, creatives, and founders to identify what moves the numbers — then scale it aggressively.

What you'll own

  • Own and scale paid media performance across the platforms that matter — Google, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn — with a focus on data.
  • Stay ahead of where performance is going. New platforms, new markets, new methods — AI-driven buying, the ad ecosystems in Korea and China, whatever's emerging next. You won't always have a playbook handed to you; sometimes you'll write it.
  • Treat the account as a body of knowledge, not a list of live campaigns. Every win, every loss (whether it's from a targeting perspective, funnel, offer, creative, hook, etc.), every test becomes institutional memory the next decision builds on — that's the difference between an account that compounds and one that just stays busy.
  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with strategists and creative teams to find what actually moves the numbers, then scale the winners hard and kill the rest fast.

You'll fit if

  • You've owned paid acquisition for 6+ years. When the number moved, it was your call. When it didn't, that was yours too.
  • You understand that creative is where performance is won or lost now. The targeting plateaued years ago; the ad itself is the variable that still scales. You know which creative is carrying an account and which is quietly dragging it.
  • You think in systems, not campaigns. Media buying, funnel behavior, creative performance, business outcomes — you see them as one connected loop, not four separate dashboards.
  • The metrics aren't acronyms you recognize, they're numbers you reason with. LTV/CAC, MER, break-even CAC, contribution margin, and other metrics that actually matters for growth. Anyone can screenshot a 10X ROAS, but what we need is someone who can tell whether the business is actually making money.
  • You hold a high bar under real accountability. Fast doesn't mean sloppy, and pressure doesn't drop your standard.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken — you'll use it every day.
  • Based in Jakarta and good with fully in-person, from our office at Park Hyatt, Menteng.

Ready

If your first move is understanding the business, not opening the ad account, and you can turn that read into growth that a founder's looking for — this is for you.
