Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Laravel API Developer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust RESTful APIs that power our applications. This role requires deep expertise in Laravel framework, database architecture, and API security best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs using Laravel framework
- Architect and optimize database schemas and queries for performance
- Implement authentication and authorization systems (OAuth2, JWT)
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following PHP best practices
- Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate APIs
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Implement caching strategies and optimize API performance
- Ensure API security and data protection measures
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Laravel framework
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong proficiency in PHP 7.4+ and modern PHP features
- Expertise in RESTful API design and development
- Deep understanding of MySQL database design and optimization
- Experience with API authentication (JWT, OAuth2, Sanctum)
- Knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles
- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development
- Understanding of caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached)
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Pest)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Understanding of cloud platforms (i.e AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, AliCloud)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with microservices architecture is a plus
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization is a plus
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is a plus
- Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI) is a plus
- Experience with frontend development using Vue/Nuxt and tailwindcss is a plus
- Proven experience working on travel-related projects or systems (e.g. booking systems, hotel reservations, ticketing, itinerary management, travel APIs, OTA platforms)
- Understanding of travel industry workflows and integrations is highly preferred
