Advanced Troubleshooting & Escalation Handling
- Handle incident escalations from L1 and perform deeper investigation on network faults.
- Execute advanced troubleshooting
- Conduct packet captures, traffic analysis, and log review to identify root causes.
Configuration & Change Management
- Perform configuration changes on network devices following Change Management processes.
- Troubleshoot and manage routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies (VLAN, STP).
Collaboration & Optimization
- Work with ISPs or third-party vendors to resolve link or service issues.
- Analyze network performance and recommend improvements for stability and efficiency.
- Participate in planned maintenance, firmware upgrades, and device migration activities.
Documentation & Leadership
- Update network diagrams, configuration repositories, and technical documentation.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to L1 engineers.
- Participate in RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and contribute to service improvement initiatives
