The Grant Data Analystwill play the role ofanalyzing, reportingand redefining the data into useful information and clear insights, supporting the needs of Grants Management team & business partnersin the overall grant processes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Extract, organize and retain required grant related document softcopy for audit and verification purposes.
- Assemble, validate and retain required grant related information from various sources, including PO, Invoices, Quotations, payment reports, bank statements, etc.
- Modifies existing reports and/or develops new reports by analyzing databases, data sources, and structures for the benefit of users
- Develop monitoring tools and reports to ensure compliance with grant funding and reporting requirements
- Track and report on grant assets status, including GR/IR status, capitalization, payment status.
- Track and report on the grant non-asset status, such as manpower related expense (salary, training expense, etc), material and consumables related expense, etc
- Assist in design and development of data visualizations
- Communicate with various business partners and finance analysts on the data structure
- Ensure data quality by advising on data structure for new processes as they are built
- Support grant reviews by Grant Management Team with Global Operations, Finance Leadership and project owners on the grant status as needed
- Partner with Grants Accounting team for timely and accurate grant accruals
- Proactively highlight challenges on grants data to stakeholders and address risk and concern
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- SAP & Ariba experience highly desirable

- Experience in handling audits, dealing with external auditor or government authorities, is an advantage
- Bachelor and/or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Management or related fields.
- At least 5 - 7 years of relevant working experience
- Work experience in Finance, Accounting, with exposure to Data Management within Finance or related fields would be helpful.
- Experience in developing and analyzing complex reports is an advantage.
- Experience with Data Management, including data mining, management and analysis, preferred
- Background in analytics, statistics, information management, financial/business analysis or related fields preferred.
- Experience in finance environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge on finance systems (eg. forecasting tools, CAPEX tools), data extraction, automation, RPA & accountingpractices
