JR41353 Senior Financial Analyst - GO Finance

As the Senior Financial Analyst of Global Operations FP&A at Micron Technology, you will assume the role of Finance Business Partner to the SMART Manufacturing + Artificial Intelligence (AI) and also perform consolidation reporting work of functions under Global Operations. You will work closely with (among others) the VP of SMART Manufacturing & AI and VP of Operations Finance, members of the local and global Finance teams, as well as HR Business Partners.

You will be supporting strategic decision making, optimize resource allocation, and drive organizational efficiency.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

You will support the organization as follows:

  • Drive for outstanding operations cost by understanding competitive benchmarks, installing financial rigor into project performance reviews, and driving accountability throughout the organization
  • Support the Budget process and budget the necessary resources for the organization (headcount, capex, spends) while ensuring that resource allocation is optimized
  • Review of organizational financial performance on a monthly cadence and direct management to cost opportunities and efficiencies
  • Partner with finance and operations partners to develop and implement new systems and processes to improve efficiency and meet changing business needs
  • Provide strategic decision-making analysis, scenarios and project-ROIs and benefit-analysis as required, propose alternatives and make recommendations about the best course of action. Process includes post mortem & lookback for all Return on Investments

Responsibilities with regards to the Finance support for the Global Operations include the following:

  • Act as the critical liaison between Corporate FP&A and the Global Operations Finance Organization to ensure continuous alignment on tasks, priorities, timelines, and processes
  • Consolidation of Global Operations Support groups financial performance on a monthly and quarterly (budget) cadence
  • Continuous review, identification, and implementation of improvements in financial reporting tools (eg. PowerBI) and processes
  • Build and improve value-added financial reporting for Global Operations
  • Develop highly effective working relationships with members of the local and global Finance teams, the Global Operations team, as well as HR Business Partners

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Strategy, or related fields in the manufacturing industry (electronics manufacturing, semiconductors or other high-tech industries preferred)
  • Intellectually curious, with a high energy level, growth mindset and passion for identifying and implementing improvement opportunities
  • Capable of performing under tight deadlines and in an environment characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA)
  • Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal English-language communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with advance data analytical & visualization tools (Python, Power BI, SQL) and benchmarking is a plus
