Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Group Senior Finance & Accounting Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the financial governance, accuracy, compliance, and reporting integrity across all hotels within the Aryaduta Hotel Group. This corporate-level position ensures proper implementation of financial policies, supports property finance teams, leads consolidation and analysis of group financial results, and drives continuous improvement in financial processes, internal controls, and compliance.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (A few key points will include (but not limited to):

Group-Level Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Lead the monthly financial closing cycle across all properties, ensuring consistent accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Consolidate group financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and prepare variance analysis, explanations, and trend reports for senior management.
  • Review and validate journal entries, reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and adjustments submitted by properties.
  • Ensure alignment with corporate reporting standards and the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI).

Policy Governance, Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Ensure all hotels adhere to Group Finance policies, SOPs, approval limits, and internal controls.
  • Conduct financial process audits (purchasing, receiving, F&B cost control, cash handling, payroll, AP/AR, inventory).
  • Identify control weaknesses and work with property leaders to implement corrective actions and deadlines.
  • Ensure legal and statutory compliance across taxation, financial reporting, and corporate governance.

Financial Analysis, Performance Monitoring & Insights

  • Analyze group-wide financial performance, highlighting risks, opportunities, and operational improvement areas.
  • Provide commercial insights to support strategic decisions for Operations, Commercial, HR, and Executive teams.
  • Monitor KPIs such as GOP margin, flow-through, labour ratios, cost productivity, inventory performance, and profitability drivers.
  • Review property forecasts and budgets, ensuring assumptions are sound and aligned with business plans.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Support

  • Coordinate annual budget and reforecast submissions from properties.
  • Review and challenge assumptions to ensure realistic revenue, cost, and profitability targets.
  • Prepare group-level financial projections and scenario planning models.
  • Provide recommendations on productivity improvements, CAPEX planning, and long-term financial sustainability.

Support to Property Finance Teams

  • Serve as a key point-of-contact and advisor for property Directors/Managers of Finance.
  • Provide troubleshooting support on accounting issues, system challenges, cost control, and compliance matters.
  • Conduct periodic property visits to validate financial processes, coach local finance teams, and strengthen capability.
  • Lead group-wide training on finance standards, internal controls, analytical tools, and reporting requirements.

Systems Oversight (PMS, Accounting Systems, Procurement & Inventory)

  • Work closely with Digital Transformation & IT on finance-related system integrations (PMSPOSAccounting).
  • Ensure property systems are aligned with group chart of accounts, reporting templates, and financial workflows.
  • Oversee standardization of accounting setup, access rights, and security controls.
  • Support upgrades, rollouts, and testing of finance-related applications and modules.

Taxation & Statutory Coordination

  • Support the review of monthly tax submissions (PPh 21, PPh 23, PPN, final taxes).
  • Ensure proper documentation for audits, tax queries, and compliance inspections.
  • Monitor updates in Indonesian taxation regulations and communicate impacts to properties.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors when required.

Cash Flow Oversight & Working Capital Management

  • Monitor group-wide cash flow trends, liquidity risks, and working capital efficiency.
  • Review property cash positions, banking reconciliations, credit management, and AR aging trends.
  • Support strategies to improve collections, reduce overdue receivables, and optimize vendor payment structures.

Leadership, Mentoring & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive financial discipline, accountability, and ethical standards across property finance teams.
  • Mentor Finance Managers and emerging leaders to strengthen the talent pipeline.
  • Promote best practices, process simplification, automation, and efficiency improvements across all hotels.
  • Support capability-building programs (cost control training, USALI workshops, budgeting masterclasses).

Special Projects & Corporate Initiatives

  • Support M&A due diligence (when applicable), feasibility studies, pre-opening financial setup, and business case evaluations.
  • Lead or contribute to group initiatives such as digital transformation, centralized finance processes, shared services development, or system rollouts.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations for CEO, owners, and board-level stakeholders.

Others:

  • Achieve the monthly and annual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) assigned, which will be outlined separately. KPIs may include, but are not limited to, targets related to productivity, quality, efficiency, compliance, and contributions to team or departmental objectives.
  • Accept temporary or permanent transfers to another section, department, or Aryaduta property, as required by business needs and performance considerations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior, which are relevant to the role and support departmental or organizational objectives.

DNA:

  • Experience in a hotel group or corporate head office role.
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations.
  • Familiarity with automation tools, BI dashboards, and financial transformation projects.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multi-property demands and tight deadlines.
  • Leadership presence with ability to coach and influence without direct authority.
