About the Role
Support the Korea finance operations during maternity cover by ensuring accurate financial reporting, smooth day-to-day accounting activities, and effective coordination with the Korea office and external stakeholders.
What You Will Do
1. Financial Operations & Accounting
- Manage full-spectrum accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in compliance with company policies and local regulations.
2. Monthly Closing & Reporting
- Perform monthly closing activities including reconciliations and preparation of financial reports.
- Support variance analysis and provide insights where required.
3. Payroll & Employee-Related Expenses
- Process payroll, sales commissions, incentives, and staff expense reimbursements accurately and on time.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal guidelines.
4. Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) documentation.
- Liaise with external tax agents and accounting firms to ensure compliance with local regulations.
5. Audit & Statutory Support
- Support external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and required documentation.
- Ensure audit readiness and proper record maintenance.
6. Administrative & Operational Support
- Support office and warehouse administrative operations, including procurement and inventory management.
- Monitor and manage operational expenses (e.g., rent, utilities, service contracts) to ensure cost control and proper approvals.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Korean (spoken & written) is required to support Korea office operations.
- Working knowledge of Odoo ERP system is an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.
