Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in accordance with national regulations and international maritime standards.
  • Plan and conduct internal training and awareness programs, including fire extinguisher use (APAR), first aid (P3K), emergency response, maritime safety topics, and ISO standards for both onboard and office personnel.
  • Lead QHSE meetings and internal communications, while maintaining comprehensive documentation of all safety-related activities, trainings, audits, and incidents.
  • Develop, review, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned with the company's Quality Management System and Integrated Management Systems (ISM Code, ISPS Code, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018).
  • Conduct internal audits and investigations in line with ISM, ISPS, and ISO standards, compile reports with corrective actions, and oversee the execution of health and safety programs across all operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Environmental Engineering, or Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a QHSE role within the shipping or maritime industry (mandatory).
  • Good knowledge and understanding of ISM Code, ISPS Code, and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).
  • Experience in conducting internal audits, incident investigations, and preparing compliance reports in line with maritime and ISO standards.
  • Skilled in delivering internal training on QHSE systems and maritime safety practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication, coordination, and presentation abilities.
  • Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional maritime teams.
