Senior Director, Orange Movement

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Senior Director, Orange Movement to lead the growth and institutional development of a global movement advancing gender equality and climate action through financial markets.

Role Overview

  • Lead the strategy and growth of the Orange Movement
  • Drive fundraising, capital mobilisation, and strategic partnerships
  • Build relationships with DFIs, investors, foundations, corporates, governments, and multilaterals
  • Develop the Movement into a financially sustainable and independently operating institution
  • Lead global advocacy, market-building initiatives, and high-level stakeholder engagement

Job Description

  • Build and manage a structured co-funder and strategic partnership pipeline
  • Mobilize US$2M+ in co-funder contributions in Year 1
  • Develop multi-year fundraising and financial sustainability strategies
  • Expand the Orange Investor Alliance and Partner Coalition
  • Strengthen governance across the Steering Committee, Advisory Council, and Working Groups
  • Lead global campaigns, forums, and stakeholder convenings
  • Support the development and adoption of Orange Bonds™, Orange Seal™, Orange Capital Principles, and Orange Index
  • Lead training and market-building initiatives for investors, regulators, and issuers
  • Represent the Movement with senior stakeholders and contribute to thought leadership

Requirements

  • 15+ years of senior experience in impact investing, sustainable finance, development finance, capital markets, philanthropy, strategic partnerships, or related fields
  • Proven track record in fundraising, capital mobilisation, or securing institutional commitments
  • Strong network across DFIs, foundations, institutional investors, corporates, governments, and/or multilaterals
  • Experience across Indonesia, Southeast Asia, India, or other Global South markets
  • Strong exposure to impact investing, sustainable finance, climate finance, gender-lens investing, blended finance, or development finance
  • Experience building or scaling a fund, program, platform, coalition, or institution from the ground up
  • Strong entrepreneurial, strategic, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's/MBA preferred
