Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for driving continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), managing cloud-based infrastructure, and ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of our applications. You will work with automation tools, observability solutions, and AI-driven enhancements to optimize DevOps workflows and improve operational efficiency. This role requires deep expertise in cloud cost optimization, infrastructure as code (IaC), monitoring, and zero-downtime deployments.

What you'll do

A. CI/CD & Deployment Pipelines

• Experience with Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI/CD.
• Expertise in Zero Downtime Deployment strategies.
• Strong knowledge of GitOps practices using ArgoCD.

B. Containerization & Orchestration

• Experience with Docker & Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS).

C. Monitoring & Observability

• Strong experience with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for logging and observability.
• Experience with Grafana & Prometheus for system monitoring.

D. Messaging & Caching Systems

• Experience managing Kafka (production-level clusters).
• Hands-on expertise in Redis (production-level clusters).

E. Scripting & Automation

• Python scripting for automation (preferred).

F. AI & Automation Tools

• Experience leveraging AI tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to automate routine DevOps tasks and improve productivity.
• Ability to integrate AI-driven solutions into DevOps workflows.

G. Cloud Cost Optimization

• Strong understanding of cost-saving best practices for cloud infrastructure.

H. Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications

• 3-5 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years in DevOps.
• Cloud expertise: AWS (Preferred) / Google Cloud / Azure.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with Terraform for cloud resource provisioning.
