Job Description
The role includes preparing design calculations, developing engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with international design codes and providing technical support throughout project execution.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering design for Pressure Vessels, Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers (STHE), and Storage Tanks.
- Prepare and review design calculations in accordance with project requirements and applicable design codes.
- Develop and review General Arrangement (GA) drawings based on approved design calculations.
- Ensure all designs comply with client specifications, datasheets, and international standards.
- Utilize PV design software such as PV Elite and COMPRESS to perform engineering calculations.
- Coordinate with Project Engineers, Drafting, Production, Procurement, and QA/QC teams to support project
execution.
- Provide technical clarification and engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in design reviews and resolve engineering issues as required.
- Ensure engineering deliverables are completed accurately and within project schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Pressure Vessel Design Engineering.
- Proficient in PV Elite and COMPRESS software.
- Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII Divisions 1 & 2, ASME Section II, TEMA, and relevant engineering
standards.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure.
