What we are looking for
We are looking for a Senior DCIM Engineer to manage and improve our Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) systems, ensuring accurate data, reliable reporting, and strong operational support for our data center environment.
You will act as the technical focal point for DCIM, working closely with Operations, BMS, EPMS, IT, Facilities, vendors, and project teams to keep system information aligned with actual site conditions.
Your Job Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation, administration, and maintenance of the DCIM platform.
- Maintain accurate DCIM data for assets, racks, power, cooling, connectivity, capacity, and equipment lifecycle records.
- Monitor dashboards, alarms, trends, and reports to identify abnormalities, capacity risks, and improvement areas.
- Support capacity planning for space, power, and cooling to enable customer deployment, expansion, and operational planning.
- Troubleshoot DCIM-related issues, including data discrepancies, integration gaps, alarm issues, and reporting inaccuracies.
- Work with BMS, EPMS, IT, Facilities, Operations, vendors, and project teams to support integration, change management, system updates, and issue closure.
- Maintain DCIM-related SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, configuration records, point lists, reports, and other key documentation.
- Prepare operational, capacity, performance, audit, and compliance reports for internal teams, customers, and management review.
- Review and develop DCIM requirements for new deployments, upgrades, and handovers to ensure operational readiness.
- Guide users on proper DCIM usage, data updates, reporting standards, and system workflows.
- Develop custom reports, monitoring dashboards, and automation workflows in accordance with the company's operational requirements.
Qualities you should have:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, IT, Computer Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience in DCIM, BMS, EPMS, data center operations, critical facilities, or infrastructure systems.
- Hands-on experience with DCIM platforms such as Siemens TIA Portal, Schneider EcoStruxure, Nlyte, Sunbird, Vertiv, or equivalent systems.
- Good understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, racks, cabling, environmental monitoring, capacity, and asset management.
- Experience with DCIM integration to BMS, EPMS, CMMS, ERP, or IT monitoring platforms.
- Able to troubleshoot system issues, data inconsistencies, reporting gaps, and integration problems.
- Familiar with SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, change management, incident management, audit support, and compliance requirements.
- Strong Excel and reporting skills; Power BI or dashboard experience will be an advantage.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiar with control systems protocol interfacing e.g. MODBUS, BACNET, MQTT, OPC, IEC61850, Web/server API
- Familiar with centralized and integrated business process with DCIM platform, CMMS, ticketing system, event triggering, Management of Change, RCA tools etc
- Experience and understanding of SCADA alarm management systems.
