Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

I. Customs Management

1. Compliance & Operations: Assume full responsibility for the import/export customs compliance and day-to-day operations at the Indonesia factory. Ensure that all customs declaration processes, documentation, and procedures are in full compliance with local Indonesian customs regulations and international trade laws.

2. Strategy & Liaison: Lead customs strategy development and serve as the primary point of contact between the company and Indonesian customs authorities, commodity inspection agencies, and customs brokers. Coordinate and communicate on key matters such as tariff exemptions, duty reductions, and import/export licensing.

3. Risk Control: Establish and maintain a customs risk early-warning and control system. Identify and address potential risks, including discrepancies between declarations and actual goods, and abnormal inspection results. Cooperate with customs audits and annual inspections.

4. Documentation & Data Management: Oversee all import/export clearance documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper archiving. Manage the entry, statistical analysis, and reporting of customs-related data.

II. Factory Warehouse Management

1. Daily Operations: Take full charge of the day-to-day warehouse operations for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods. Oversee the entire workflow, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, while ensuring inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.

2. Processes & Systems: Optimize warehouse operating procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and management systems. Implement 5S/6S site management practices to elevate overall warehouse management standards.

3. Inventory Control: Formulate and execute regular and cycle count plans. Analyze inventory variances, optimize stock structure, reduce the proportion of slow-moving and obsolete items, and control warehouse operating costs.

4. System Management: Proficiently operate the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP system. Ensure timely and accurate system data, and generate relevant management reports.

III. Team & General Management

1. Team Leadership: Manage the local customs and warehouse teams, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and day-to-day administration. Address cross-cultural communication challenges and build a highly efficient and collaborative team.

2. Internal & External Coordination: Serve as the internal logistics hub, working closely with the domestic headquarters and cross-functional departments such as Production, Procurement, Sales, and Finance. Maintain effective communication with external logistics service providers and customers.

Job Requirements:

1. Education & Major: Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in International Trade, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

2. Work Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in both customs management and factory warehouse management. Prior experience in Indonesian local customs operations and manufacturing warehouse management is required.

3. Professional Knowledge & Skills:

◦ Customs: In-depth knowledge of Indonesian customs regulations, import/export procedures, commodity classification, and tariff systems. Familiarity with Incoterms and international logistics rules.

◦ Warehousing: Thorough understanding of end-to-end warehouse management processes, inventory control methodologies, and warehouse safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

◦ Systems: Proficiency in WMS, ERP systems, and the Microsoft Office suite, with strong data analysis capabilities.

◦ Language: English proficiency at a working level, with solid reading, writing, and communication skills. Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a significant plus, as it greatly enhances local operational efficiency.

4. Competencies & Soft Skills: Excellent communication, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Strong leadership, team management, and stress tolerance skills. Ability to adapt to expatriate assignments and effectively handle challenges in a cross-cultural environment.
